Festival Jewelry.
currently on the task of making hemp jewelry with fun jewels and techniques that i've learned over the years. i'm doing between 1-5 a day, depending on my schedule and patience level, but so far... so good. i got some great beads and jewels that i'm working with, and i'm looking forward to selling/giving/what-have-you them during the music festival season. i'm getting an early start this time around, so i can have a really big collection to view and pick from. if anyone ever gets bored and wants to have a craft day... feel free to come help me with my creations! you can even make a few for yourself, or choose from my collection i've got. that'd be a fun, crafty, artsy activity :)
i don't care how poor the quality may be, but i'm getting this from my job.

i have 1,000s of negatives taken over the years that i've never been able to see besides over the light table at the photo lab, but now i'm wanting to get this scanner so i can see all my work that i've done throughout the years for college and personal outlets. for example, i took a trip with a group of photographers to the southwest in 2008, where all we did is camp out in the desert and travel from state to state, photographing. that's all, relocating from site to site, and solely taking pictures for almost an entire month. we did have a photo exhibit where we showed our work and sold some of them, but with the quantity of pictures i took (only on film, have you), i only developed a dozen or so actual photographs... never getting to fully see how the entire trip's story that i caught with my canon E0S 35mm. not to mention, it also scans slide film. i have hundreds from my color I course in college that i'd love to share. there's better quality equipment out there at my disposal, but i don't have the time or money to travel to MTSU to do this huge process. but now, i can do it at home in my free time, even with poor resolution, i will be able to see allllll my work up close and personal for the 1st time, and be able to share ones i find suitable to share on her. one day, i hope to afford an epson film/slide scanner, but until then, i'll stick with the iconvert... and photoshop them accordingly :)

Found a shit ton of 120 film for my Diana F+ toy camera. and you better bet i'm going to use the hell out of it. i can't believe i just found this mother-load of film. one problem. no one develops black and white 120 film in the local and surrounding nashville areas anymore, so that means i have to develop them myself. or send them off to atlanta. let's see which one i feel like dealing with. both are going to cost an arm and a leg or time and money. stay tuned!
Posting my own artwork will be a process. most are on paper, canvas, on in my storage unit. with time, i surely will have them posted. one step at a time, please?
samples of art.
*currently working on historical buddha paintings. i'm pretty sure i am going to make an ongoing series. now, i just need to find the time. but, as an artist... i will make time.*
"I AM" Project (Photography)
After graduating college with a major in photography and a minor in art, i was starting to feel the need to find a new way to express my creative nature. without school constantly keeping my creative flow going, i came up with a photography project which i titled the "I Am" project. i sent out a facebook message to friends letting them know how i wanted to start a project that will be long term and i would love for volunteers to help with it.
"a current photo project i'm working on. its the story of "I AM", and how it varies from person to person, emotion to emotion, and time of life.by the models filling in the blank "I AM _______", it helps tell the stories of all the lovely ladies and gents i hope to get to model for this project. "
i decided to have them make up different "I Am's" prior to the shoot, expressing who they were and what they were going through at that moment in their life. to add to the idea, i decided to add props and write on the models what their "I Am's" were. It's an ongoing project (which i adore) where i continue to get new models and also have re-shoots with previous models to see how their "I Am's" have changed. one day, i'm hoping to publish them or have an exhibit.

Toy Cameras
i have a wonderful collection of many cameras (well over a dozen). But, my favorites have to be my (what they're called) toy cameras. everything is made of plastic. the body itself, the flashes, the lenses, everything. they take a very retro and experimental approach to photography that always ends in a surprise after seeing the final product. Here are some of my images from selected toy cameras i've used and had developed. do enjoy!
Diana F+
Diana F+. which is wonderful for multiple exposers, and comes with really fun and inexpensive attachments.
Diana f+ pics (abstract - one of my fave forms of photography).
Diana F+ Canon EOS Adapter
Always wanted to achieve those breathtaking Diana F+ effects with your Canon EOS and Nikon F Series SLR cameras? Now it’s possible with the Diana F+ SLR Adaptors. Sweeping wide-angles and crazy Fisheye techniques? Bring it on!
Fisheye 2.0
gives the special effect of "looking through the peep hole in the door". Very entertaining to see the curves and perspectives change so drastically.
Oktomat
This is a fantastic camera which has 8 lenses that take a total of 8 consecutive images.
Obviously, i have many more toy cameras and images to add to the site. Though, most are not converted to digital files yet.
More pictures will be added on a regular basic, so please keep coming back to see additions. As new projects and new cameras (as well as toy camera are purchased, there will more added with time.
Yellow Peace Camera
This was a gift given to me, and unexpectedly i adored it. as a photographer, i primarily use wide angle lenses. so, this plastic, manual, wide angle toy camera takes fun and unexpected photos.
